Cocoa butter is a vegetable fat obtained from the pressing or solvent extraction (hexane) of cocoa beans to obtain cocoa powder. Its color ranges from ivory yellow to brown. It is used in the composition of chocolate. Cocoa butter is one of the most stable fats known, containing natural antioxidants that prevent rancidity and give it a storage life of two to five years.
It is used in the manufacture of many para-pharmaceutical or cosmetic products, such as sunscreen oils or lip balms.
